King Edward gets partial funding

KING EDWARD PROJECT FUNDED
The development group refurbishing the King Edward Hotel and Standard ife building on Tuesday announced $15 million in funding.
National New Markets Fund LLC and Capital One have closed a $15 million ew Markets Tax Credit investment with HRI Properties, a partner in the evelopment group, into the landmark King Edward Hotel.
Other partners include Jackson lawyer David Watkins and New Orleans aints running back Deuce McAllister. he final financing will be in place upon approval of a $36 million state bond authority approval, anticipated to take place this month.
